Thanksgiving Day

–By Ben Gilmore

“Thanksgiving”

The only American Christian holiday.

For the history buffs, I have attached the Thanksgiving day sermon of Rev. Baldwin, 2nd Baptist Church of Boston – 1795. I am thankful that our gracious Lord is interested in history – His – Story.

Many writers, today, are speaking of a cloud of gloom hanging over America.

I pledge myself to rebuke it and rebuke every negative thought on a day dedicated to giving thanks to the God of creation; the Lord of Heaven’s armies; my personal Lord and the one who redeemed me from an eternity of ungodly darkness!

Let us give thanks together!
